I have been “called” to play my drum so much more since that activation and I’m finding myself playing new beats and channeling rhythms that I feel weren’t previously in my bag of tricks.. your workshop was full of so many nuggets and this new found connection to my drum feels very potent and sacred, thank you for facilitating a reclamation of the beat within me and the medicine that is now flowing through.. my toddler loves it too and now that there are two medicine drums in the house he plays a long with such fervent enthusiasm.. This was so much more than drumming. This was an immersive experience that helped me feel connected to my own deep emotions and introduced me to new ideas, opening doors to ancestral beliefs and traditions. This day was designed for people to deepen their connection with drumming, and I was apprehensive to attend as a beginner. But I was so very welcomed by Charlotte and guided through the day. I came because I've been increasingly 'called' by the drum over a period of months. I haven't played before and wanted to explore or confirm what this calling was about. My key take-aways were connection, both to Self and ancestral lineage, reassurance that I know what I know and feel what I feel and gratitude to Charlotte for being the channel and holding the space so elegantly. I would recommend this day to anyone looking to reconnect with the roots of the Self. To anyone who's feeling curious or experiencing a bending towards misty cellular memory of belonging. The lightness and ease with the way you facilitated the group. I loved your quirky, playful and genuine sense of humour and found myself smiling and chuckling away throughout the day.
I throughly enjoyed all the elements, the practical immersion process, the discourse on various subjects, the collective drumming and singing, the partner work, the Journey (wow!), the nettle tea! I also appreciated the way you naturally worked with the collective group and yet also were so aware of individuals various needs along the way. I 10/10 recommend Charlotte's drumming course to others. This is an ancient part of humanity that everyone should be experiencing. Going outside with my drum in the session felt amazing and I felt in tune with the earth and my ancestors. Drumming and connecting with the plants gave me goosebumps, knowing that they are also vibrational beings and we are all resonating together!
