Spring Constellations Retreat 2025

Date: Friday 12th September - Sunday 14th September 2025 (3 days, 2 nights)
Location: Bellbird Heights, Living Springs, Govenor's Bay Canterbury
Time: 5pm Friday to 3pm Sunday

What is Family Constellations?

Family constellations is a therapeutic modality that works through the energetic blocks and dynamics that are present in the family field and farther back in the ancestral lines. The aim is to bring harmony and flow to all those in the family field.


It centers around the premise that blocks in our lives have origins in the unresolved trauma and tension in our family field that has not be witnessed or resolved. The energy of this pain stays alive in the field, showing up in a myriad of ways (eating issues, relationship problems, money worries) until someone in the family can see the overall pattern and release the block from the whole family field.


The hidden dynamics present in family units can so often impact our individual lives in profound ways. In this practice, we use members of the group to represent members of our family and ancestors and we observe the energy that arises in the field with the aim of moving it through, in order to bring deep healing and resolution.


Every participant coming will bring with them the major issue present in their lives and we'll explore where the origin of it is and aim to release it. As we work on one person's family at a time, through the lens of a current issue in the person's life. We will look at any disharmony, breakages, mishaps and exclusions and witness how they are disrupting the energy of the family system.


Using the principles of the morphic field of resonance, we allow the constellation to unfold and provide us with a different perspective to see the family dynamics and energy. This not only releases stuck energy in the field but also helps to bring compassionate understanding of why we are the way we are, and how the patterns and tensions of our family came about.


It aims to acknowledge history that hasn't been acknowledged, process emotion that is ready to come out and help the participant to build greater understanding of where they came from.

After introducing the concept and connecting to our family field on the Friday night, we will take it in turns to work on each person's family, starting with your nuclear family.


We will spend about an hour on each person's individual issue and family dynamics. Members of the group will 'represent' (stand in) for your family member.


There will be breaks and time to rest but come as rested as you can as there is a lot to be present for.

When it's your turn, you will be asked to pick members of the group to represent your family members. 


For a short time, they will hold the essence or energy of that family member- enabling us to see the dynamics of the family clearly in real time.


It is a magical process but perfectly safe. You step into the energy for the duration for that constellation and then we cleanse and let it go.


Representing is healing and profound in its own right. The majority of participants have huge breakthroughs representing in other people's families, as you are embodying specific dynamics or emotions that are usually also present in your life. You always get picked for a reason!

This work is magical, but the aim of this work is not to push and re-traumatise. Yes, there may be many tender moments, but we will go gently, mindfully and only as far as is sensible, comfortable and manageable for all.


The aim is to work with whatever energy is present with new perspective and support of the group. What appears in your constellation may be nothing about you but be about your great-grandfather or ancestor etc.


We don't need to fix or solve everything, we just need to witness and acknowledge.

 This weekend we participated in a Family Constellations workshop with Charlotte from Wildsong Healing. It's been many years since I've done Family Constellations, so I was a bit nervous coming into it, as how it is held is so vitally important. Charlotte is a patient master of her craft.

I spent 2 days with Charlotte weaving her Family Constellations magic last year. I can attest to the power of this modality, and that even when I was not having my family constellation run and was standing in as representing a member of somebody else's constellation, it was incredibly revealing for me and my own life! And when mine was run...BANG out of left field comes this revelation that I hadn't shared with Charlotte but somehow she picked up on it with her intuition. I cried so many times during the weekend, not from sadness but from a feeling of being seen and connecting with the other participants in their realizations. Do this work! It's not easy (that's why it's called work) but it is so incredibly rewarding and connecting.
